Am 1. Dezember 2016 werden erneut die Game Awards vergeben. Gestern wurde die Liste der Nominierten veröffentlicht. Darunter befinden sich auch Spiele aus dem Jahr 2015, da alle Spiele, die nach dem 24. November 2015 erschienen, berechtigt sind, nominiert zu werden.

Wie üblich finden sich große Namen wie Battlefield 1, Doom oder Uncharted 4 auf den Listen. Aber auch Indie-Titel wie Firewatch oder Hyper Light Drifter haben es geschafft, nominiert zu werden. Zudem gibt es zwei weitere Überraschungen: Zum einen hat eine Erweiterung zu The Witcher 3 – The Wild Hunt Chancen auf eine Auszeichnung als bestes Rollenspiel, obwohl das Hauptspiel bereits im letzten Jahr viele Preise eingeheimst hat. Zum anderen könnte Enderal, eine sehr umfangreiche Modifikation (Fachsprache: Total Conversion) zu Skyrim, als beste Fan-Kreation ausgezeichnet werden. Die verantwortlichen Macher von Enderal stammen übrigens aus Deutschland und haben mit ihrer Mega-Mod viel Aufsehen erregt.
