Am gestrigen Abend wurden in Los Angeles die diesjährigen Game Awards verliehen. Wenig überraschend war Baldur's Gate 3 der Gewinner des Abends und konnte sich am Ende fünf Preise sichern, darunter auch den für das Spiel des Jahres. Darüber hinaus schlug sich auch Alan Wake 2 ziemlich beachtlich und konnte Baldur's Gate 3 nicht nur die Kategorie der besten Geschichte, sondern auch der besten Regie wegschnappen. Insgesamt gewann die Fortsetzung drei Preise.

Auch bei den Ankündigungen hatten die Game Awards wieder einiges zu bieten. So wurden beispielsweise ein neuer Singleplayer-Marvel-Titel rund um Blade und ein kommender kostenloser DLC zu God of War: Ragnarok enthüllt. Darüber hinaus gab es unter anderem Trailer zu Exodus World, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Jurassic Park: Survival World, Hellblade II, Black Myth: Wukong und Lost Records: Bloom and Rage gezeigt.
