Am vergangenen Dienstag wurden die Nominierungen für die diesjährigen Oscars bekannt gegeben. Angeführt wird das Feld dabei wenig überraschend von Oppenheimer, der in insgesamt 13 Kategorien nominiert wurde. Auch Poor Things und Killers of the Flower Moon kommen mit elf und zehn auf eine zweistellige Zahl an Nominierungen. Dahinter folgen Barbie mit acht, Maestro mit sieben und Anatomy of a Fall mit sechs. Auch ein deutscher Film hat es in diesem Jahr wieder auf die Liste geschafft. In der Kategorie bester Ausländischer Film tritt Das Lehrerzimmer an.

Die Verleihung selbst findet in der Nacht zum 11. März in Los Angeles statt. Wie im Vorjahr wird erneut Jimmy Kimmel durch die Show führen.
