Am heutigen Nachmittag wurden die Nominierten für die kommende Oscar-Verleihung bekannt gegeben. Aus Genresicht sind vor allem die Nominierungen von Dune, Nightmare Alley und Don't Look Up  erwähnenswert, die sich alle Hoffnungen auf die Auszeichnung als bester Film machen können. In Hinblick auf die meisten Nominierungen steht The Power of the Dog ganz vorn mit zwölf, dicht gefolgt von Dune, der auf zehn kommt.

Die mittlerweile 94. Oscar-Verleihung findet in der Nacht vom 27. zum 28. März in Los Angeles statt. In diesem Jahr soll dabei wieder ein Host durch die Show führen. Wer dies jedoch sein wird, ist noch nicht bekannt.
